Well, hi there.

Sorry I've been a bit MIA. I've been on vacation this last week, and took a little break from updating the blog. But no fear, I'm back now! Planning a big Ulta trip soon (hopefully tomorrow) so I'll have some new goodies to show ya! :)

I'm kind of late on this and a lot of my blogging friends have already done this, so instead of tagging people, if anybody hasn't done this yet and wants to... I tag you! So... here we go...

Wallet, Ulta coupon, various recipts, Gigi's cupcakes club card, Eclipse gum, Barbie notepad, daily planner that I hardly use, 2 pens, a one serving packet of Nutella my mom brought back for me from France, Bath and Body Works hand sanitizer- Strawberry Cupcake scent, 4 wetnaps, 2 AA batteries for my camera, a crappy mini nail file (need a new one), B&BW roll on perfume- Spearmint Eucalyptus scent, 2 tampons, Nivea Kiss of Moisture chapstick, contact rewetting drops, mini thing of floss, Burt's Bee's Lemon Butter cuticle cream, and TokyoMilk lip balm- Sweet Creme flavor. (My phone and keys are also in there when I'm out and about.)

~Where did you get your purse, and how long have you had it? I got my purse secondhand from an online friend. I've had it about a year and half. I love it, but I'm sort of itching for a new one too.

~What are 3 must-haves in your purse?(Not including keys and wallet) Phone, chapstick, and BBs cuticle cream!

~What is something you should have in your purse right now, but don't? Sunglasses. I carry them half the time, and then half the time I get annoyed that they are taking up space and fling them out.

~What is the thing you have the most of in your purse right now? Wetnaps. Lol. Must have grabbed a bunch last time I was at a chicken wing place.

1) Favourite color: Purple currently, but it's hard to say no to long time favorite, Pink.

2) Favorite Animal: Alligators and Beluga Whales. Just don't put them together. Lol.

3) Favourite number: 22.

4) What perfume am i using right now: I don't wear perfume often but when I do I wear Tokyo Milk Gin and Rosewater.

5) Something you always wear with you and identifies you: My grandmother's ruby ring (featured in a lot of my photos) and my Waxing Poetic necklace that I posted about here.

6) What's your passion?: My family. Current and the family of my own that I hope to have one day.

7) Getting or giving presents?: Both. I think I get just as excited about picking out the perfect thing for people and seeing their reaction as I do when I have my own present to open.

8) What was the last eyeshadow you used?: Rimmel London Stir it Up eyeshadow in "Wassup?" My sister got it for me for Christmas. :)

9) Favourite day of the week: I've always been weird and really liked Monday's because they always seem like a fresh start. Tuesday is when it hits me how long the week really is. Lol.

10) Are your nails painted right now?: Duh. I haven't had naked nails since I started this blog!

Happy Father's Day!

My Father's Day got a little out of hand. It involved running all over Houston, a last minute gift, a very serious injury to a dog, moving furniture, running over some mattresses with a car, a yummy dinner, and getting home a bit too late and a bit too tired to bother with my nails even though they are chipped. So instead of nails, here's a picture of me and my dad. It's quite a few years old, but it's one of my absolute favorites!

If you know me, you I have many quirks and may be nearing the edge of OCD. Well, I noticed that I have made 111 posts on this blog, and I just have a weird thing about 11's. I probably won't be doing my nails for awhile, with these Sally Hansen things on, and while I wait for some new orders to come in... My Zoya Earth Day promo, and the awesome prize I won on the Rainbows&Sparkles blog which I can't wait to post all about! I just couldn't leave my blog at 111 for that long, so today I'll show you another of my favorite things besides polish...

My Waxing Poetic necklace. I love the vintage feel of it, the mixed metals, and the way the charms slightly jingle all the time. Thanks Dad, Katie, Aunt Marie & Family!

Post Beluga nail check

So it turns out that swimming in salt water and hanging out with Beluga whales has absolutely no effect on the wear of nail polish. All the damage here in my "after" picture, was actually done before hand. I had a lot of tip wear with this polish, and the big chip on my middle finger was from hard water in the hotel shower. Oh well. I had such a blast. I could have stayed in that cold, cold (60 degree) water with the whales all day!

I'm back!

Six things that have changed since I last blogged:
1) I got a super fun job that I really love.
2) I'm now obsessed with nail polish.
3) I can sew purses.
4) I can knit various stuffed animals.
5) I am closer with my family.
6) I feel more positive and less stressed.

Six things that are still the same:
1) I still have just 9 nieces and nephews.
2) I still love to read.
3) I still collect Barbie artwork.
4) I still help with my niece's Girl Scout troop.
5) I still quilt (even though knitting has taken over for awhile.)
6) I'm still a Disney fanatic.

I think I'll be making changes to this blog. I'm thinking it will be more about fun with nail polish, and about the various projects I do. I have no idea if I'll still keep the "six" theme, we'll just see how it goes. I'd like to keep it up, because I don't know what else to name the blog!

February 2nd - 8th

Just needed to get this out:

I've been avoiding posting because I really have felt like my days have contained nothing worthy of a post. I feel like I've taken a major step backwards in my life, a lot of old anxieties have come up. I've been angry, sad, stressed, lonely, shy, and avoiding things that need to be confronted.

There's someone in my life that I've been working at breaking contact with for the longest time, who I let manipulate me, again, for the one millionth time. And that person betrayed my trust, again, for the one millionth time.

I've been upset with a family member for not feeling like they support me. And I've avoided talking to them about it to keep the peace. So, nothing is resolved there, just put off for the time being.

I'm lonely because I avoid people in general. Even some people that I should feel very comfortable with.

Mostly, I just put on a happy face and put a nice shine on my life, and tell people how happy I am, even when I am anything but. Even here on my blog, where I should be able to be total honest. I don't want to look back on this in the future and think that this blog was just a cover, and not at all representative of my life. I'm sorry I've been that way.

If y'all could just keep me in your thoughts while I'm going through this I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks for listening.
